On March 18, 2013, a group of Cambodian guests headed by Chea Sieng Hong, Secretary of State for Cambodia's Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy, paid a visit to RADI.

The guests expressed their appreciation of RADI’s R&D strength, and the two sides held discussions on issues of common interest. They came to a consensus to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of protection of natural and cultural legacies, and mitigation of calamities. Director-General of RADI, Prof. GUO Huadong met with the guests, suggesting that both sides conduct substantial cooperation in disaster reduction within the framework of the CAS-TWAS Center of Excellence on Space Technology for Disaster Mitigation.
