In 2019, SDIM has conducted the study on space technology for the disaster mitigation of countries along the “Belt and Road”. Specifically, the “localized” disaster mitigation data of space technology in Belt and Road countries has been collected through joint experiment and the cooperation on space technology for disaster mitigation, which focused on Myanmar (landslide), Sri Lanka (flood), Bangladesh (flood), Nepal (landslide), Pakistan (flood), and Russia (drought), has been carried out. As a result, the research capability of both parties in the experimental cooperation has been enhanced.
