SDIM’s Collaborative Research for flood in Thailand and drought in Kirghizstan

According to the scientific framework of SDIM and the current situation of space technology for disaster mitigation in Asian developing countries, SDIM conducted the Joint Research Program on “Space Technology for Disaster Mitigation in Asia”. Currently, this program mainly covers the following areas: 1) research on space technology for flood, 2) research on space technology for drought, 3) research on space technology for earthquake, 4) database system and technology shared platform, and 5) young scientist project. SDIM is working with Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) for floods research in Thailand and with Institute of Physical and Technical Problems and Materials Science (IPTPMS) for drought research in Kirghizstan.
