We’ve built the drought geo-database for Mongolia to provide a basic geo-database for drought monitoring and management in Mongolia. As to the remote sensing and monitoring system for drought in Mongolia developed and transplanted to Mongolia last year, after nearly one year of demonstration, we’ve added more module functions and improved the system’s data processing and analysis ability based on the user feedback and new demands. In the first half of 2015, the updated version of the drought remote sensing and monitoring system (DroughtWatch version 3.2) were transplanted to Mongolia after nearly one year of regional parameter adjustment and upgrading.

 At the same time, we also started to implant it to Sri Lanka, trained over 30 local staff on how to operate the system and demonstrated its application and improved our international influence in drought remote sensing.
