From September 19 to 21, 2017, SDIM attended the 3rd PEEX Science Conference in Moscow, Russia. The goal of the 3rd PEEX Science Conference is to bring together professional and scientific experts under research themes related to atmosphere – land ecosystems-aquatic-anthropogenic activities-Northern societies in the Northern Eurasian region.The conference was attended by more than 100 scholars and experts from 12-plus countries and international organizations.

At the opening ceremony on the morning of September 19, SDIM’s Director Guo Huadong gave a keynote presentation on the DBAR Program and the linkage of Big Earth Data for supporting disaster risk reduction.
