On October 13-17, SDIM co-organized a training program on the application of spatial technology for monitoring post-disaster recovery of World Heritage Sites. The training had practical courses such as monitoring the technology applications in heritage sites. It involved more than 50 participants. The training program is an initiative to implement the World Heritage Convention and China's important policies on disaster prevention and mitigation for World Heritage Sites. It aims to improve the capacity of China’s World Heritage Sites in applying space information technology for disaster risk reduction.
