In 2014, there were 21 applicants applied for CAS-TWAS President’s Fellowship Programme, and 4 of them got the fellowship successfully. Currently, there are 18 international students from developing countries studying at SDIM altogether, including 6 Pakistani students, 5 Thai students, 1 Egyptian student, 1 Iranian student, 1 Kenyan student, 1 Nigerian student, 1 Mongolian student, 1 Nepali student and 1 Indian student. Besides international students, SDIM actively supported high-level scholars from developing countries to conduct cooperative research in China. In 2014, 2 visiting scholars from developing countries engaged in further study in SDIM.
