In 2013, there were 14 applicants applied for CAS-TWAS President’s Fellowship Programme. SDIM shortlisted 9 students for application and finally recruited 5 of them, of which 4 students got the scholarship, and the remaining one student was funded by the supervisor of SDIM. Currently, there are 12 international students from developing countries studying at SDIM altogether, including 4 Pakistani students, 5 Thai students, 1 Egyptian student, 1 North Korean student and 1 Indian student. Besides international students, SDIM actively supported high-level scholars from developing countries to conduct cooperative research in China. In 2013, 2 visiting scholars from developing countries engaged in further study in SDIM.
