Muhammad Hanif

Muhammad Hanif, Doctor of Agriculture of Colorado State University. He graduated from the university in 1980, and conducted post-doctoral researches in George Mason University, George Washington University and University of Maryland. He is now a senior consultant and the head of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO). Dr. Hanif has been engaged in researches on crop growth monitoring, yield prediction and flood early warning for a long time and accumulated abundant experience in the field of agricultural remote sensing and water resources management. He has taken the lead in developing the business operation system of crop monitoring and yield prediction that are based on remote sensing, and regularly released SUPARCO crop growth monitoring and yield prediction online. As a senior advisor to the government of Pakistan, Hanif has been involved in the formulation of many agricultural development planning and analysis report on flood damages, making great contributions to security of food and water resources of Pakistan. When he acted as the Chairman of the Standing Committee of Pakistan Planning Committee, he took the lead in formulating the 9th development program on agriculture of Pakistan. When he acted as the chief scientist of SUPARCO, he took the lead in developing the satellite-based Pakistani crop growth monitoring system, and regularly released the monthly report on crop growth monitoring and yield of Pakistan.

Armand Yevide

Dr. Armand Yevide 1s an Agronomist Engineer and hold a PhD degree in Natural Resources Management in 2011. Basically most of his research activities so far have focused on documenting the effect of soil characteristics on timber species traits, in order to better inform policy formulation and decision making. His research and professional activities have yielded one technical data sheet published and six scientific publications with five in peer-reviewed journals with ISi impact factor. Added to the previous one, his current research interest is to alleviate hunger, poverty through the promotion of African valued species; and mitigate climate change impacts through biodiversity conservation, agro forestry promotion and reforestation using local tree species.
