International training workshop on disaster reduction along the B&R
On December 11, 2017, the International Training Workshop on Integrated Risk Assessment Methods Using Spatial and Social Vulnerability Data for Disaster Risk Reduction kicked off on RADI Sanya Campus. The training workshop was organized by SDIM jointly with the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR), International Society of Digital Earth (ISDE), Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia, AASSA and etc.
Under the framework of DBAR, the workshop focused on disaster risk reduction in developing countries along the Belt and Road, with an aim to improve the research capacity of young scholars and professionals. 22 participants from 15 developing countries including Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Rwanda, Thailand, Ethiopia, etc. attended the workshop.
